Privacy Policy

Effective date: May 23, 2026

Golf Dispatch (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates thegolfdispatch.com and the Golf Dispatch web application (collectively, the “Service”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

1. Information We Collect

Account information. When you create an account, we collect your email address and, if you sign in with Google, your name and Google profile picture. You may also provide a display name, username, handicap index, home course, and location.

Trip data. We store the trip details you create: destination, dates, budget, golfer count, tee times, flights, lodging, expenses, and messages sent in the group chat.

Usage data. We automatically collect information about how you interact with the Service, including pages visited, features used, and browser/device type. This is collected via Vercel Analytics and PostHog.

Cookies. We use cookies and similar technologies to maintain your session and remember preferences. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
  • Authenticate your identity and secure your account
  • Display your profile information to members of trips you've joined
  • Send transactional emails (e.g., trip invitations, payment reminders) when email is enabled
  • Analyze how the Service is used to improve features
  • Respond to support requests

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your data to serve you third-party advertising.

3. Information We Share

With your trip members. Your display name, username, handicap, home course, and profile picture are visible to other members of trips you've joined or been invited to.

Service providers. We share data with the following third-party services that help us operate the platform:

  • Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage
  • Google — optional OAuth sign-in
  • Vercel — hosting, analytics, and performance monitoring
  • PostHog — product analytics and session insights
  • Postmark — transactional email delivery (when enabled)

These providers process data only as necessary to deliver their services and are bound by their own privacy policies.

Legal requirements. We may disclose your information if required by law, subpoena, or other legal process, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Golf Dispatch, our users, or others.

Business transfers. If Golf Dispatch is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred as part of that transaction.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account and trip data for as long as your account is active. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us at cameron@thegolfdispatch.com. Upon deletion, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

6. Security

We implement industry-standard security practices including encrypted data transmission (TLS), hashed credentials, and row-level security on our database. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password and to notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights, email us at cameron@thegolfdispatch.com. We will respond within 30 days.

If you are located in the European Economic Area, UK, or California, you may have additional rights under GDPR or CCPA. Please contact us for more information.
